Who We Are

We are a privately owned childcare center that accepts a diverse population of children ages six weeks to five years old. Our center is licensed by the Department of Human Services in Davidson County and we are a 3 Star Center.

Mission Statement

Cheekwood Child Development Center aims to provide a learning space where children can feel comfortable in exploring and developing their individual abilities. We promote kindness, responsibility, and growth. Our goal is for our students to develop self-confidence and a sense of true self-worth, both academically and socially.

We employ teaching professionals who are not only nurturing, but have also chosen to value children as the future of our world.

  • Have Certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Have Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance (TECTA) Certification or a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood
  • Are Trained in TN Early Learning Development Standards (TN‑ELDS)
  • Are Trained in ABC Music and Me Program
  • Are Members of the National Association for the Education of Young Children(NAEYC)

Additionally, our facilities have video surveillance cameras to ensure your child’s safety.
